Oscar winning actor Michael Douglas showed up in federal court Friday to support his son Cameron Douglas, 31, who pleaded guilty last week to dealing large quantities of meth and cocaine.
Meth Found in Chip Bag
Two people, 36-year-old Enrique Orozco and 27-year-old Vanessa Concepcion Gaxiola, were driving in a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck west on Interstate 10 when a DPS K-9 unit pulled them over near Marana.
The two said they were driving to Phoenix, but DPS officials tell New Times the couple was acting suspiciously, which prompted the officer to ask if he could search the vehicle.
When the two said no, the officer had a narcotics canine walk around the truck.
When the dog indicated there were drugs in the car, the couple's objection to a search was noted and ignored.

meth.
"There are some smart criminals, but they aren't all rocket scientists," a DPS official says. "Our dogs are very accurate."
The officer found close to a half pound of meth.
Orozco and Gaxiola were arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail on charges of possession and transportation of dangerous drugs.

Life-Threatening Risk Posed by Cocaine Laced with Veterinary Anti-Parasite Drug
SAMHSA is alerting medical professionals, substance abuse treatment centers, and other public health authorities about the risk that substantial levels of cocaine may be adulterated with levamisole—a veterinary anti-parasitic drug.
There have been approximately 20 confirmed or probable cases of agranulocytosis (a serious, sometimes fatal blood disorder), including two deaths, associated with cocaine adulterated with levamisole. The number of reported cases is expected to increase as information about cocaine adulterated with levamisole is disseminated.

Meth Lab by Grandma
In Sidney, Michigan police arrested 5 adults for having a meth lab in their house. Among those adults were Lorri Compo and her main squeeze Roman Sobie. Also present at the drug raid was Compo's 1-year-old grandson Steven Rish Jr. After the bust Steven was released to his paternal grandmother who found a baggie of meth in his diaper.
Steven's mother also lives at the residence and wasn't home at the time of the raid. She claims she had no idea meth was being cooked in the house. I’m a little leery of that because meth productions causes a distinct odor. But she hasn't been charged with a crime so that’s neither here nor there.

Busted For Meth
Michael Douglas‘ actor son has been busted at the hip Hotel Gansevoort on charges of possessing a stash of meth, law enforcement sources confirmed Monday night. An undercover cop found about 8 ounces of Meth and more than $10,000 in cash last Tuesday on Cameron Douglas, the 30-year-old grandson of Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas, according to sources. He was charged with possession with intent to sell. Douglas was previously arrested here in 1999 when he was charged with buying drugs. He was also arrested in 2007 in California on cocaine possession charges. Staff at the hotel in the Meatpacking District – which features a popular rooftop bar overlooking the Hudson – were closemouthed last night on the arrest.

NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield tested positive for meth during a random drug screening May 1 at Richmond International Raceway.
In court documents filed in the past two weeks (Mayfield sought a temporary restraining order to return to the track; NASCAR countersued), it was revealed that Mayfield had admitted ingesting a double dosage of Claritin-D, an allergy medication, and the prescription drug Adderall XR immediately prior to the Richmond drug test conducted for NASCAR.
